According to Orange Lounge Radio, a new Katamari Damacy Game is in the works. It is titled “Beautiful Katamari” and is scheduled for release for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 17th and will cost $39.99. The Wii Version is scheduled for November 14th and will cost $29.99.
If you’ve never played (or heard) of Katamari Damacy go pick up either Katamari Damacy or We ♥ Katamari, both of which are for the PS2.
Basically, you play as a weird little alien (named “The Prince”) and your father (King of Cosmos) commands you to roll up stuff with a ball. As you roll up objects such as marbles and mice, your ball grows larger and larger until you can roll up mountains and clouds andgiant boxing monsters. If this sounds a little weird, that’s because it is. The game is very japanese-y including the music (Which is awesome).
I’m very excited by this news and hope that it is true.
